I don't think you need a back up recorder.. If the camera fails, there's no video anyway..
Unless you want to record multitrack as a back up.

I think if you boom and put out some radiomics, you should be fine.
It's not going to sound like "friends" though

I guess 2 fisher booms are required for classy sitcom sound..
