Nice strategy, though, to question and diminish the standing of those who disagree with your point of view. I've seen you using it over many months now.
That's bollox man.
I didn't diminish them. I asked if they are impartial. I presume they are not, because I've never heard of them ever saying anything nice about musicians.
I'm not claiming to be impartial either. I'm for musicians.
Of course they have 'a voice in the debate'. I never said they shouldn't. I just want to know what or who they favour.
You say law and technology. So no mention of artists, or creativity. Anyone impartial would look at the problem from the point of view of creativity, law and technology. Two out of three isn't impartial..... or good enough.
Nice try.... but no cigar.

Don't act like this is the first disparaging remark about the EFF that you've made on this forum. I have a remarkable memory for this type of thing and can easily find more if I were pressed. You won't hesitate to diminish anyone who speaks about the music industry if they themselves lack personal experience within it. As such, isn't it a bit disingenuous to disparage the Electronic Frontier Foundation when they speak on their subject of expertise?
Again, I don't think there is anyone on the planet who would suggest that asking if someone or some grouping is impartial or not, is diminishing their point of view. It just puts their point of view into context.
Go ahead and find posts where I 'diminished' EFF. I actually don't know enough about them to run a commentary. Which is why I asked if they were impartial or not.
I think you just confirmed my assumption however.
