Ok, that's all correct. You might want to turn remote on later.
It would seem the problem is with the keyboard as if 'remote' is off it means you havn't rewritten anything into Ableton, because you need 'remote' on to do this.
Look in the manual and find out how to reset the keyboard to factory settings. Its usually done by holding down a certain button during the keyboard power up. Different for every keyboard.
