| AVID Mbox Pro (3rd Gen) PT10 6085 Firewire Bus errors - fixed with PCIe FW400 card
Just a quick heads up in case anyone else is having the same issues I had.
AVID Mbox Pro 3rd Generation running Pro Tools 10.
2009 Nehelim Mac Pro.
Plugging the Mbox into the FW800 ports on the Mac with the included 400 to 800 adapter was producing multiple 6085 firewire bus errors in Pro Tools 10.
I tried a number of things to no avail.
I was really tearing my hair out just trying to playback and record was hopeless.
I ended up buying and installing a "Tango PCIe Combo FireWire 400/USB 2.0 Adapter Card for PCI Express" card.
All problems fixed now and Pro Tools 10 is running stably.
After installing the card I trashed the preferences BTW.
It is not the cheapest FW400 card around and I'm not sure if it is AVID approved but it's worked for me.
Hope this helps someone who is having the same issues I had.
