No not just reverse the cables but move one of the cables to the opposite contact.
The switch I am thinking of will have three contacts.
1/ common contact
2/ NC - normally closed
3/ NO - normally open
If the switch only have 2 contacts then it might be possible to replace just the switch into the same hole.
