Thanks for the replies. I'm usisng a Roland xp-10. Unfortunately there is no mention of a polarity switch internally, in the manual. Of course I'm not sure what language this manual was written in.
I know most units ( even on my old Alesis D4) determine which polarity on start up or have the capabilities to change polarity. Roland is notorious for making things difficult to interface with non-Roland products. I remember buying a thirty dollar 2 prong power cable for my D-50 because Roland was the last company to implement the 3 prong universal cables
I'm using an ensoniq sustain pedal (momentary switch) that needs a polarity switch, which was given to me by a Roland RD-100 (no internal polarity switch either) user. I've already reversed the two cables with no luck. I'm just too cheap to go buy the proper pedal if I don't have to.
