I'm a fan of dynamics, and the 421 and 441 are some of my favorites. The 414 would do well, too. In the situation I was in I had a boatload of mics to pick from, and when I listened, I made my pick and it is still what I would choose today -in that situation-. The C-28/451/460/480 family caught the whole picture, where I do not think that the larger dynamics quite get it all. But they are -all- nice mics, reasonable choices for the task, and have all been irreplaceable parts of my mic cabinet from the 80s until I retired a couple of years ago.
