Shure was indeed made aware of the entire situation. Not sure what they plan on doing if anything, they thanked me.
I wrote my whole story under the 'product review' on Amazon, it was almost immediately taken down and I was sent an email from Amazon apologizing for the 'inconvenience' and telling me they cannot post my review. (It was an automated response that also stated these "mistakes do not happen when items are sold directly from Amazon." Oops, except this time
I don't expect any company to be perfect, especially one as large as Amazon, but heck I do expect them to be concerned and take steps to resolve the issue when made aware of such violations.
