The M201 is a great mic (snare, acoustic guitar) but instead of an e906 I would search for a Sennheiser MD409 (or a Echolette ES-14, same mic). If you're patient you still find these used for 300-400 bucks or a bit more. But it's totally worth it!
I just packed my ES-14 for the gig tonite, first used it for micing my Blues Jr. on a small gig this week and now there's no going back.
For recording , I love the 409 on vocals, guitar cabs and had really good results on acoustic guitar as well. And I heaven't even tried it on toms yet which certainly will be another winner.
