How much would someone charge just to take my 10 mastered songs, drop them into a program, add all the text/code/etc., then burn/check a red book cd for me, and make a quick ddp file? Again, all processing, fades, etc. is done. No listening or altering of audio is required. Just the last step of getting it plant ready is what I need.
I at first downloaded the free demo from Wave Editor and did all this, but I'd like to make a few changes to the masters, and am past the demo period. So, I can buy Wave Editor for $79 and do this myself...but was wondering if someone out there can help me out instead...?

Hi
Plenty of places should be able to help, but it does take time to put together the disc with the correct flow, markers and text, and then the disc/DDP must be burnt and quality checked for errors using something like plextools, and then also a full listening test. This all takes time which is why most mastering studios charge a reasonable fee for this. For a ten track master to be produced and properly checked, you would be looking at about an hour or so.
FWIW it is much better to have a properly checked disc to send for replication and pay $100 for the service, than to press 1000 discs and then discover an issue. It really is not part of the process to skimp on, as it really is the final product of everyone's hard work at stake. It is rare that I have a master fail quality checks but it only takes one in every hundred or so discs to make it essential
I hope that helps.
