I have been demoing both waves tune and melodyne this week and I'm not sure which I like better.
Waves tune seems a lot faster and it seems to sound clearer to my ears, melodyne takes some highs away.
The plugin is too small though, it's a pita to navigate in it because I always have to zoom in and out, with melodyne I can make the plugin really big if I want to and it makes it easier to navigate through it.
With melodyne there are a lot of editing available that waves don't offer.
Waves can simulate a vibrato from scratch, I don't think melodyne does that.
I prefer the waveform view from melodyne compared to the bloc view in waves tune...
To make a long story short, I really don't know which one I should get, there's a 150$ difference... if they would be the same price I would probably go with melodyne just for its ease of navigation.
