I swear by the FMR Audio RNLA for vox, guitars, drums. Some like it on acoustic gtr, I prefer the RNC for that.

RNLA is the most used comp in my modest rack which includes an RNC, 2 Symetrix 501's and an ART Pro VLA - especially for vocals.
