| I have a dual 1Ghz and 1.5GB and I would not go below 1.5GB memory. I would not like to see a single proc running Logic. It would be scary. Especially to mix a single song with many tracks. It would be sick.
Save your money on the old school ram upgrade, and purchase a dual core mac mini pro with 1.5GB instead-- you will be able to run plugins and have a decent track count.
