Also, what you are hearing in the track is the R44 combined with an LDC about 8" away from the bell pointing across the bell to catch some of the body of the sax. I used about 50% of each. The R44 by itself was just a tad too dark and I wanted it to cut through a little more hence the LDC.

Fyi...The track has not been mixed. This is just a "Ruffmix" to give an idea of how it sits in the track.

With all due respect and not to sound like an ingrate-isn't that clip (very nice like I said) a bit ambiguous regarding this thread? By that I mean using the LDC as well? How are we to know what the quality of R44 is? Apparently it didn't stand on it's own? Are you happy with the R40?
