I agree with you that 10-50% makes more sense. Yet people paid, and ultimately I think most people will be thrilled. Again, I waited 4 years for an electric gtr. that was supposed to be 9 months, and paid in full ... and 8 years for my lovely wife to come around, and we're peaches and cream ... so I can attest that good things come to those ...
And in this case I believe (and have zero fact) that Vintage King made the rules, and that Peter has never been strapped for money. Peter has always told me he wants nothing to do with the business side ... he's a designer, period. His thing is "I only have one chance to make it perfect" and his mind has been working faster than the worldly side could keep up with.
