I just got it yesterday with the 50% discount...
I am truly amazed. I think this is the first time I felt good with a track mastered by myself.
Just put on the curve bender, turned a few knobs, and there it was: a much better sounding track. It´s quite funny how it works: it´s subtle, you almost can´t hear a difference, you just go by feel... I was like, "yeah, feels better there, now a little bit of mid..."... After two minutes, I couldn´t quite tell the difference, but I took it off to compare and the original sounded like mud. Put it on again and the sound I was looking for is there: clearer highs, more room for mids, controlled lows...I just have to put on a limiter and raise a little the volume and the track works.
With other mastering programs, the EQ is so blunt; you hear the minimal turn of the knob, but you can´t tell if it sounds better or worse at all, and the final result you get is obviously different from what you started with, but not satisfying, you don´t get to a point where you can say it sounds better...With the TG is like using magic.
I feel like I won´t need another mastering EG again; this is it. Unless I end up using the Chandler or Abbey Road harware, that is. I don´t know if there is much difference with the hardware.
For 165$, a no brainer...Amazing.
