Just tell them you are not a believer, and ask them if it would bother them to have someone who does not share their religous beliefs playing on their tunes.
If it doesnt bother them, do the gig and be happy to take their cash.
It's not like religous music has ever really converted anyone anyway, despite what some of them may wish to believe... It's there to uplift those who are already converted.
