Harley, I did mean the SM7, regarding the Beyer Soundstar MKII.

Mic placement with it seems less critical vs. the Unidyne III's IMHO.
(the 548 is my favorite of my Shure's-also more forgiving)

The Beyer is pretty resistant to singers who "pop" their P's, so they make an excellent hand held vocal mic too.
