farjedi....
yep ive had lots of fun with the ring mod built into powertracks that i use.
in conjunction with other host plug ins.
ive done crazy stuff like bounce the ring modded section of audio from ear to ear in the stereo spread. from simple to crazy. done all sorts of crazy stuff to synth tones etc etc. even took my cat meowing and turned it into my interpretation of what a baby dragon might sound like in a song i wrote and recorded.
i'm on a chaining host effects together kick right now and seeing what new sounds i can get. all good fun.
there is this guitar trails sort of echoplex setting in powertracks that i like to muck around with thats interesting for the old guitar vibe.
i think one of the problems i find is there are so many settings possibilities in my
host plug ins for effects, one just has to be willing to spend time experimenting.
i also find its a good idea to try breaking rules. for example there is this bass setting in the host that i sometimes tweak for guitar. then there is this tape setting in the comp/lim that i'm tweaking around right now thats kind of neat...
called 15 ips.....lol. its just a question of being willing to spend the time tweaking the host plug ins. ive had some wird interesting noises out of a lofi type setting. lots of fun.
