I have recently started recording brass sections for Haitan "Compa" producers in my home studio. I have never had to worry about panning the brass since I used to just go record the tracks in other studios and leave before they mixed the songs.

Question: How would you pan this brass section in order to achieve the fullest sound possible??? (2 trumpets, 2 trombones, and 2 tenor saxes)

Most of the lines are played together as a section in 3 part harmonies. Trumpet always has the melody. The hits are opened up a little bit more harmonicaly by adding 6th's and sometimes 9th's. No counter melodies or contrasting parts.

I more or less think that I have figured it out for myself, but I would like to hear what others are doing out there.
