Well that was my experience on single stereo passes, I guess I should clarify by saying these all seem to be Protools jobs as well. It's probably just the engineering, mix, band and everything else, but I'm just feeling something instinctual really. Like when they say "it's recorded at 96" I always suspect it may need more love - I just wondered if anyone else thought the same, apparently not!
