Audio Technica ATH M50 vs Sony MDR-7509HD vs. shure srh 840
I am looking for a pair headphone that will do both mixing and tracking well (yes I know that having a pair of a closed and open would be ideal). I am recording guitars (death metal type stuff) and I am looking for a pair of headphones for around $200 or less. I think I have boiled it down to the Audio Technica ATH M50, the Sony MDR-7509HD, and the shure srh 840. My mind is set on the m50, but I am not entirely sure yet. Also, the genre is metal/death metal type stuff. Also, any other headphone suggestions are certainly welcome. Thanks.
