Well thats exactly what I did, I had an old dead 545 (I have 8 all together) I prefer them to the 57.
I took the tranny out of the dead one and soldered in solid core wire. Initial run through; it is
way more bassy, similar to my rca ribbon.
I am considering putting my old tranny into the newer 57 I have
I am planning on cutting some samples and posting them compared to the original 545 and a 57
I'm thinking

and a kick just for well....kicks
