Steve, I really enjoyed the photos of the mix session, it's like a photo-documentary. and then it dawned on me.... that's a mobile setup! I know I've been reading along with the thread for a while, (and enjoying it) but when I saw the pics, it didn't sink in that the Breadmobile was actual mo-bile. I just figured it was a catchy name for your studio becuase you spend a lot of money on gear. when I think remote (at least down here in the islands) it's my trusty mackie onyx, powerbook, some mics and miles of mogami. that setup is beyond impressive! now i really wish I would have been in NYC to catch the show!
I did have one question, actually it's my wife who wants to know how you power all that stuff up? are you self contained with generators or do you run a line (or lots of lines) from the grid? down here during Carnival there are calypso and soca bands that play on the backs of trucks (I wouldn't call them floats) and they usually have several generators going on each float. there is so much noise in the system that it's hard for me to listen to. but with the walls and walls of loudspeakers strapped to the front and back of each float it gets pretty drowned out by the music, and obscene amounts of rum doesn't hurt either...

(this is actually one of the smaller setups for the children's parade)
