When you talk to dealers (Sweetwater, for example), they describe it as the exact same microphone.

I wasn't offended or put off by your answer, I guess I am surprised that the idea of continous improvement is not self evident. But I suppose how could it be obvious if we don't say anything about it? One of the reasons I choose owner operator companies is their speed of innovation. ATC, Bock, Daking, Tube Tech, if they can find a small improvement they just do it and don't announce it as a "new" model.
