Interesting footnote to this:
For years, I have been battling distortion due to lost communication with my audio card. It's much more controlled now, but was horrible on my last system. On that system, I noticed that any time I used my trackball, I would get a significant DPC spike.
This doesn't happen on my new system, but I wonder if, on the old, it would have helped my problem to switch to a PS/2 trackball?
I assume that if one did need to do this, it would be fine to simply use one of those little USB-to-PS/2 adapters?
