The same reason you felt the need to mention and say that it is different.

I gave further information so that people are not confused about it.

I am getting quite a few PM's from various members about the eps16+ and the eps/epsm due to this particular thread, and it is obvious those users are confused about the requirements on both machines. Some think the scsi standards/requirements are the same on both.

So instead of repeating the same info in 5-6 different PMs, I said it here.

Is that okay with you?

To anyone chasing scsi with the original eps/epsm: I would try to find a source that will allow you to test a drive and return it if it doesn't work. Even with all supposedly updated scsi devices/roms/eproms, they are very hit and miss depending on what drive/enclosure you end up with.

I would hate to see you dump bucks into a drive and find out it doesn't work. Try some second hand units off ebay as well (if they are cheap).
