sorry i wasnt specific enough.
so i'll detail further.
take a 32 track mix lasting 3 minutes.....ie....32 seperate tracks in multitrack software .
useing a stopwatch time how long it takes for the opteron to mix down those 32
tracks to a stereo master or say bounce the whole shebang to a brand new stereo track.
another test. it takes an amd 64 about 3 secs to noise gate a 3 minute audio track.( ie..batch approach not real time.) a sempron takes about a second longer.
i'm curious how long on your opteron system.
i'm very interested in any opteron stats as dealers near me (as i live in a peacefull rural part of canada) only carry up to the amd dual core 64's.
