With Pro Tools certification, I would know that person has a certain level of technical training and understanding. But it really doesn't tell me if that person has an artistic sensibility and good ears. Is this someone I can trust to mix? Or is this a person better suited to recording with a veteran producer at the helm?
I think certifications are fine, but in the music world I imagine a great demo CD goes much further. | Very well put.
