and how much do you want to spend on treatment,
|
a few grand should be enough. I'm renting so I dont want to go too hardcore but my landlord also doesn't really care what I do and I plan on living here for at least a few more years. The location is good, the neighborhood is nice, and my rent is cheap.
So I'd like to focus primarily on adding wall treatments which can be moved and taken with me should i decide to move locations... beefing up walls with some plywood, paint etc is fine tho... its just not my house so I don't want to go too crazy sinking money into it.
so let's set the budget at around $5k. USD... AC included.
I was looking at split-type AC units but i'm not sure how to go about it. So AC is a must, just not sure about the HV part.
no problem there. I'll update the rendering to include a few more rooms I can use for these purposes. I don't have a lot of loud machinery tho and I like to keep the 1/4" in the room with me. A single A810 is not loud enough for me to worry about it and my mac is pretty quiet.

is this the only room or is there a live room ,, iso room ?
|
I'm not a big fan of iso rooms and I have access to a local studio if I need to record live drums, loud GTRs, etc. I'm primarily interested in making a one room mixing setup that sounds good enough to record simple vocals in.
I have access to another room down the side hall that's small but very live.. lots of concrete. I'm not sure yet if it's a useful live or a horrible live yet...
