I know, it sounds incredible lazy, but when it comes to making music I want the best possible experience and the least amount of hassle when i comes to my equipment.

So, these days i would always try to get the keyboardversion of a synth.

Plus the Blofeld-keys is a very nice package, indeed. Looks awesome, good build quality, hot keyboard action, and MIDI OUT!!! wooha..

The only thing I would hold against it, and the reason why passed on it, is the sound itself. I am not the biggest Waldorf sound fan, I have to admit. Too cold and brittle to my ears.

But, if you are okay with that, get it!!!
Agree, I really don't feel any sense of proximity with a desktop synth. Just to loose 5 seconds in order to make the blofeld works was a big turn off. My worflow changes drasticaly with a desktop: with a desktop synth, I tend to use the piano roll, sequence the synth, and then just play with the parameters, and that makes the whole making a sound BORING.
But it feels great to save money, so getting a desktop is something I'm thinking nowadays.
