Hey Jfriah!
You are right, I was just under the impression that maybe too much ambiance comes when you cannot get too close with a boom, otherwise the talents voice seems to mask the ambient noise. Also I found it pretty hard to record too many people with a boom.
How do you go about recording large number of people? Do you increase the number of booms?
