i'm aware of the ability to spread a session's audio files across multiple drives within PT with Disk Allocation.
but, i would prefer to keep it "simpler" by using a RAID-0 so that PT only has to deal with "one drive". the other way, messing around with Disk Allocation can get, well, messy.
i would definitely need to be able to go over 50 tracks and ideally would like to be able to go up to 96 if and when i have to without worrying about it. so, RAID it is then!
will i need to buy a hardware controller? will i have to be careful what motherboard i use? set it up in Win7, or should i use some 3rd party software? basically, what's the best way to go about a RAID-0 for these purposes?
