I would give this serious consideration as it seems like a great product but 16 channels just isn't enough for me. When I'm tracking I nearly always have over 16 sources and like to have a fader at hand for all of them. Plus if you are going to do panning and volume in the analogue domain on the desk 16 channels is too small and once you start sub mixing then IMHO you may as well mix ITB!
Another vote for a 24 or 32 channel Zen.
