Because it's become a standard. NOT because it IS better.
There are people who are realising that they can use Nuendo to Cut and premix the entire movie/show in full surround anywhere, and take it into a facility to mix.
With unlimited tracks, and no need for expensive dedicated hardware. In a single session.
Can't do that with PT's LE withotu resorting to micky mouse solutions. And a limited track count to boot.
