I don't want to get too colored, I want to give my music more glue.
I would not say, that the Manley Vari Mu is a transparent mastering compressor. It does the glue thing but certainly in a tubey colored kind of way.
Before spending money in order to get more glue, I'd suggest to improve your mixing skills with complementary eqing and maybe working with more busses.
By applying these techniques you might get a more glued sound without any new tools.
If you already tried that, mixing into "the glue" or some other transparent mixing compressor might help.
Summing analogue and using analogue panning and fading sounds better and more glued, but often is not recallable, therefore I'd stay in the box.
