Just got mine last week and I really like it.The attenuator works great and you can overload the unit to get some effects like distorted vox.You just have to find the right level for your source to get the most out of the unit. I did not find it muddy at all It had warmth and detail that was nice on classical guitar and the roll off switch is a nice feature. I'm going to pick up a vintage 78 from mathias at Vintage city to do a comparison.
