I'm thinking if you're hearing faint bleed over from that Dig Master, proper grounding of the board overall would be one of the things to consider.
So fixing and bonding those ground wires properly to a clean chassis point on the board frame will more than likely fix that problem....improper grounding inside the board are typically the cause of those kinds of things...good luck!
