These are the nominees and no doubt they are all great... but how could kanye or dupri not have slipped in. They both produced the two biggest albums of the year Kanye (and Jon Brion) Late Registration, and Dupri (Emancipation of Mimi) as well as many others.

and to get a little OT who do you think should win out of this list. Personally I think its got to be Steve Lillywhite. The U2 album was great and the Jason Mraz album was one of my favorites of the year.
