Own entry-level Joemeek VC3v2 mic pre-amp. Considering Avalon M-5. Advice needed.

High (get it.. hi... high-end...)

I use a PC + Logic. Music is 100% midi. The only audio is vocals. (Rap artists and R&B/soul/pop singers). The mic I use is the Joemeek JM47 + VC3v2 mic-pre.

I record in my room and the room needs work. For an example of how the vocals sound:

Davey G - How Bad Do You Want It?

One upgrade I'm considering to get better quality recordings is the pre-amp.

I'd like to get some feedback on what it will mean in quality-difference if I replace my Joemeek VC3v2 with the Avalon M-5.

I totally understand that having a pro-vocal booth and a Neuman U87 + what I record on is essential. These things.. I don't have yet.

OK I'd like to hear from all you guys who know about the performance of Avalon.

Thanx!!!
