No! Don't drop iLok. I work on multiple systems and need to be able to use my plugins wherever the hell I want. Not sure why there's iLok haters. I don't know why a company would allow you to just enter a serial number when you can just give the serial number to all your buddies and they use the plugin for free. At least with iLok, when I'm done working on someone else's system, I take my iLok with me and they can't use the plugin unless they have their own license. The benefits of iLok far outweigh the benefits or convenience of any challenge response/ serial number crap. Let's not get into the "what if your ilok fails" or "what if I lose my iLok" because that's been done to death. Treat your iLok like you would a vintage U47 and you won't have any problems.
