I have a Hammond M3 and a Leslie 122 that I'm trying to connect to.
The advantage of the passive interface is that I will already have it, since I need it to run pre-recorded stuff into the Leslie.

You would get a better sound out of your M3 if you wired it direct to the leslie with a 6122 kit, if you want your Hammond to sound normal. Then if you want to have something for reamping you would get a preamp pedal (Leslie, Speakeasy, Hamptone, or Trek). Speakeasy has rackmount versions made for studio use, or something like this:
