The new Foo Fighters album has some of the most obviously compressed and distorted tracks I've ever heard. As a whole, I like the way it sounds, but since I pointed out the compression to my intern he really wants to know exactly how they did it. I gave the usual Tape+1176/distressor/tube answer but does anyone know what they actually used?
