I'll start by saying that I have researched and found out to fix this I can run everything through a mixer and patchbay so that way everything has the same latency. My question is is will the gear I have work in the same way.

My gear I have a Digi002R, an old berhinger MX1604a mixer that has been out of commission for some time, but if it will fix my latency issue I'll use it until able to get a quality mixer. I also have a tube compressor and a sonic maximizer.

If I were to get a patchbay and connect the 002R's Ins/Outs to the patchbay along with the Ins on the behringer and the outputs being alt3-4 and main R&L and aux 1 &2 outs on the mixer to the patchbay along with the I/Os of the outboard gear and patch everything where I'd like it to go would this fix the latency?

Also if possible would getting just a patchbay and run the 002r and outboard gear to the patchbay fix the latency issue?
