True, but then again the vast majority of people who use cracked software aren't in any music-related "business." Or if they are, it's typically small fry. So for software manufacturers to count all people illegally using their stuff as "profit losses" is a really really big stretch...
Not trying to justify piracy, of course, just to tell it like it is.
