When I transfer my 2" 16 track through the Lavry converters @ 24/48 the difference between the two is not worth worrying about. There is a difference, but I think going mutlitple D/A's (and having the computer for editing, comping, some plugs), mixing through a console hitting tape again and then doing one final transfer is the way to go. YMMV.
