The first LDC I ever bought was a 3035 from ebay. It's still one of my favorites. I have other condensers, including 2 AT2020s, and the 3035 still gets the most varied use. I've used it for vocals, drum mic (8 ft in front of kit), acoustic guitar, guitar amp, percussion, voice overs. I'm pleased how lucky I was with that purchase. I'd love to know how the 2035 compares.
The 2020s are excellent as well. I've used them in the Glynn Johns set up in a pinch, and they did the job damn fine. I've used them on piano for a live show, and as stereo mics to record a Jr. Symphony concert. They are a great utility mic. Haven't used them on vocals or acoustic, don't know if I'd need/want to.
