Sorta looking at the same decision here... although I have plenty of time before I have to commit.
The biggest issue I see is the lack of automatic Plug-In Delay Compensation if you decide to ever mix in the box and you want to use analogue inserts in the ProTools mixer. I've heard that with the Apogee's, this is a PITA. There is a work-around, but you have to do some manual shifting of audio in some cases.
But, if your SSL has plenty of channels and you never ended up in that situation, it comes down to which you prefer the sound of, I guess.
