If they want to offer a less expensive consumer line, then fine, but
the people who earn a living playing music need to count on their
tools and would much prefer to support the highly gifted techs here at home.
I totally agree.
Plus I don't like to pay slave labour in the other side of the globe with my money.

I think the growing availability of presets in synths started to make musicians lazy: they were so amazed at what they could use, they stopped thinking if they should.
