We'll have the complete Korby Convertible set and the new Korby Blue and Red mics for comparison. One of the guests is also bringing a Pearlman TM1 mic.
On the preamp side there are a few additions to the WireWorld list: The new Chandler Germanium and Chandler TG Channel version 2, a Mindprint DTC and we might have some new (still secret) A-Design pres.
On the compressor end we have two GrooveTubes Glory comps and a Neumann U473 and two U473A and the RidgeFarm Boiler Compressor additional to the WireWorld equipment list. HYDROGYN, fronted by the lovely and talented Miss Julie will be performing for us and we are recording and mixing the Skid Row cover "18 And Life".
I'll post some pictures and comments here once we get going. |
I was surfing your production workshop site and did a search on GS and found this tread. Just before i read this post i thought "it would be a dream for me to know how 18 and live is done" since it is my number one rocksong favorite of all time! It really does something with you in the way you feel, thats amazing production/mixing skills i rarely found anywhere else!
Now you're actually doing this song in a workshop i am very interested, because i (try to ) make a lot of 80's rock inspired stuff!
Too bad i don't think i can attend this session if it isnt full yet (I live in the netherlands, so it takes some arranging, espescialy now that i have finals for my tax law graduation) But i have a question: How skilled do you have to be to attend, since i am not a professional? What basics must be covered?
Thanks in advance for answering!
I am definately going to take a workshop sometime because when somebody did like 6 of my top 10 records all time, it's theft from my own wallet Not to attend! thumbsup
